First meeting 11-12-2009

Hi Folks,

Danny and I have started talking again about having regular meetings to better co-ordinate our efforts.  We're hoping to set up a semi-weekly get-together at first, and we'll review the frequency once we get things rolling.

Please feel free to delegate or refuse this appointment as appropriate.  I know that not everyone on the invite list can attend, but there is no time when everyone is free.

I'd like to toss out the following items for an agenda, though I'm sure we won't have time to cover everything.  If you have agenda items to add or remove, please just send them, as I'm sure it'll take a while for us to get our priorities aligned.

- Review of recent training classes -- what bits do we want to be sure to incorporate in our new environment?

- Update from John/Kevin on WolfTech "tech committee" activities

- Update from Dan/Tom on WolfTech "policy committee" activities

- Review of recent Citrix activities from Kevin

- Review/Introduction of the WolfTech "GuardDog" automatic group management system, which auto-maintains AD groups from PeopleSoft OUC information (John)

- Update on recent application packaging work.

- Update on academic Unity lab migration to WolfTech.

- Identify TSS short and medium term priorities.

- Identify ISO short and medium term priorities.

- Form some working groups so we can get some parallel processing going
- group to identify initial GPOs for OU=Computers
- group to explore Citrix futures (streamed vs. conventional deploys, app assignment, billing options?)
- alas! we need a documentation group to be sure we communicate all this.
- group to do a project plan for ACSAD migration to WolfTech
- group to do a project plan for NCSUNDS administrative migration to WolfTech

I've identified a projector we can use to facilitate hands-on looking at things, and we're scheduled for the 307 conference room, not the basement!
