We got a small group together to advise management on how to best consolidate the many OU's that OIT is creating in WolfTech.  There's more background at

The results of the meeting were

The ISO gang is going to create a "Servers" OU to house any and all servers hosting OIT services.  There will be as many or as few OU's under servers as are needed to provide different the different management models needed.  Some basic group policies will be assigned at the server OU, but designed to be as general and light a footprint as possible.  Any changes to the OU=Servers OU would be discussed before implementation with all stakeholders.  It's important that OIT be able to trust itself, so all agree to be careful.  ISO will begin moving resources here immediately.

The TSS gang will determine if they want all workstations under a single OU ("Computers" and "Workstations" were both proposed) with large functional groups underneath, like "Classrooms", "Labs","Staff", ....) or of these functional groups would all be housed directly under the OIT container.
