Good Afternoon,
Microsoft usually issues its' Critical Updates & Security patches on the second Tuesday of the month. But under certain conditions when a critical security vulnerability is discovered, Microsoft will release the security patches and updates ahead of schedule. Wednesday, Microsoft released a Security patch to address a vulnerability in Windows XP/7 and Windows Server 2003/2008/2008 R2.

Attached is a document that shows how to create an image of a server's primary partition on a USB backup drive.

Release Date for Windows Server 2008 R2

According to Microsoft, Windows Server 2008 R2 is scheduled for delivery during 2010. No specific date is given.
Unfortunately this excludes Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 as the first choice in operating systems for the Windows 2008 Unity Server Migration Project.
